Studio e Progetto 2, Social Co-operative (non profit), located in Abbasanta, is a human community, rather than a business company, a centre of interection and positive exchange among members, citizens and local community. Our mission combines the principles of internal DEMOCRACY and PARTICIPATION with the committment to implement strategies aiming at the promotion and socio-economic development of the region through activities carried out in the field of prevention and social and working inclusion particularly addressed to vulnerable groups (young people, unemployed, women, prisoners, inmigrants …).
Our mission is vased on the following values:
· development of the community welfare and, in particular, of its most vulnerable people: all our activities must be consistent with this fundamental purpose;
· development of a solidarity economy that has, at its core, the man and his fundamental needs and not the personal profit;
· development and dissemination of information and counselling systems as means of personal and social growth;
· development of participatory democracy, within itself and in local communities, promotion of knowledge, technalities curbing, transparency, promotion of active citizenship and the ability of groups of partners and local communities to assess, by means of educational and professional guidance, their own problems in order to deal with them effectively, are among the commitments that Studio e Progetto 2 and each member decided to assume;
· development of employment opportunities for those exposed to the risk of professional exclusion and social marginalization.
Members and employees of Studio e Progetto 2 are, morally and practically, committed to:
· disseminate knowledge and culture, using specialized tools and strategies in order to work with transparency and clear procedures in any situation;
· thicken ties with territories, convinced that a social enterprise must necessarily connect its business and services to the local community and perceive itself as an instrument of the community;
· promoting new activities in order to meet the needs of local communities and contribute to create new employment opportunities.
The social relation is based on shared values and is developed respecting - both individually and together- the following ethical commitments:
1. the respect for the needs and requirements of service users is at the heart of business decisions, working groups and individual members;
2. ensuring real spaces for the participation in the management of services to users, their families, trade unions, organizations of civic engagement and volunteering in the area is a commitment of the company and its members;
3. the promotion of people's autonomy is the first professional goal of each operator;
4. the times and spaces of everyday life of the people and their right to privacy are protected at any times;
5. each individual is respected in his religious beliefs, political opinions, ideals and ideological convictions and encouraged to express his identity;
6. the difference is a positive value in all its forms (with respect to ethnicity, beliefs, backgrounds, sex ...);
7. the co-operative operates a culture of network and pursues the development of concrete synergies with other subjects of third sector and citizens also promoting their active involvement;
8. the co-operative works in the market respecting the values of economic strenght, the quality of projects, the professionalism of operators, the ethics of action, the link with the territory, in competition with other private entities working in the field of social;
9. one person, one vote: each member has the right and duty to participate in the decision-making process within the company; the technical structure and the system of representation have the duty to provide all members with real opportunities of participation in the decision making process;
10. each member participates in the risk and the results of the co-operative;
11. the management of economic and financial resources aims at ensuring the expansion of employment opportunities and the preservation of continuity of members' employment;
12. each working member is paid in line with the national collective labour agreement for co-operatives and is asked to fulfill his/her obligations towards the company;
13. the management of the company aims at promoting the use of internal resources and fairness in labor relations;
14. the co-operative ensures equality of opportunity and fair recognition of merit and individual commitment for each member;
15. the co-operative ensures opportunities for professional and cultural growth as well as concrete opportunities of participation in the decision-making process for each member;
16. the chance to attend trainings and take the opportunities to strengthen their knowledge is a right and a duty of each member;
17. the chance to actively practice democracy is a right and a duty of each member;
18. the organization is designed and managed in order to promote the ability to work in groups and make the management transparent and participatory both within the working groups and the company;
19. the resource management aims at ensuring fair compensation to members in line with the sector agreement and investing the resources in order to promote community welfare;
20. as regards the management of resources, the safeguard of the continuity of employment for members comes in first place;
21. the practice of representation for members, the technical management and the coordination functions involve the assumption of powers carried out following the principles of coherent responsibility towards the company, members and local communities;
22. the search for quality is a constant for the company and its members, and the pursuit of quality and continuous improvement of services, relationships and approaches to work form a bond and a tool for a daily measuring of the fairness and consistency of individual and collective action;
23. the co-operative membership consists of the acquisition of rights and duties: without respect for duties, rights don't exist and the corporate relationship comes to an end.
